After our local Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery went out hiking in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument in Southern Utah. Took the trail to the toadstools.
It was a windy day but the kilt did well.
If you look careful you'll see a toadstool rock on the distant cliffs

Wind was up to 30mph with lots of blowing sand so didn't stay long.
For the geologists the toadstools are formed when boulders from the Dakota Formation above roll down onto the Entrada Formation below...then wind and weather wash the Entrada Formation away except where its protected by the boulder from the Dakota Formation.
