Tonight at my friend's place - my Buchanan and Muskrat
Warmed up the new Buchanan tonight at my friend Laura's farm, in preparation for the Ohio Scottish Games tomorrow, as the farm hosted a "Mid-Summer's Night" evening for the public, to celebrate the longest day of the year.

Hey, we talked about your tartan in the clan tent area today! Wish I had known it was you...

Thanks, Rev. Bill - I was pleasantly surprised and delighted by the number of times I was approached by folks out of the blue, asking about the kilt. Easily a half-dozen or so people either stopped me directly about it, or mentioned it during other conversation. I was very pleased with the response to this kilt. In the Clan area, I did sit and chat with David Thorpe for a while, but didn't know or recognize other XMarkers, and I didn't think to wear the dandelion. Bummer, that I didn't know you were there!

I missed David, but I did get to talk with Santa Kona. This was our first trip to the Ohio Games. The "plus" for us was one of the food vendors we know from our visits to the Ligoneer Games, also members of Clan Henderson (we just have to have our Shepherd's Pie and Meat Pie!). We also got to talk with Santa Kona's "seamstress" who had a booth; gave my wife a lot of ideas about what she wants to acquire for her "Scottish" wardrobe. We are looking forward to attending again next year...as well as several other Games this summer. As for your kilt, the pictures here do not do it justice, it is an absolutely lovely tartan. Continue to wear it in good health! (Note to self: Gotta get a dandelion...)

You look great! A minor point, but I like the use of yellow garter ties. That is a beautiful tartan.
