I went to Idaho to see my daughter and grandkids and also find some bears in Yellowstone, hike and enjoy the scenery. Me in my glory . Slough creek is a great hike (except for the lack of oxygen. The air is clean unlike socal but there isn't much of it) One of the great thrills is hiking in Yellowstone and coming across fresh grizzly prints. Pretty big fellow. I went over to canyon and it was still under snow. The first grizzly A buffalo the next morning. a sand hill I believe A black bear family . One of my favorite thermal features A new bison
you got to love marmots This big black bear took a 2 hour nap and then walked out to do bear things I guess From the large to the small I know a place to find pika and wasn't disappointed I got up early (asa usual in Yellowstone and went to canyon. Two coyotes were trying to get their share of a kill but the wolf had other ideas. They actually succeeded as while the wolf was chasing this one the other ran in and stole some choice tidbits. I drove up to obsidian mountain and just before getting there found this mom and cub. This little fox ran right by me.
the scenery there is incredible this sow and her cubs was near beryl springs A stone thrower in training this blue bird didn't get the memo that birds never let me take their pictures. I hope he didn't get in too much trouble.
