Great pictures - beautiful day! Thanks for posting. Looks like your kids were having a blast.
I would love to go to Scarborough someday, not just to go to the shore, but to visit the grave of one of my favorite authors - Anne Bronte.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

thanks for sharing. I haven't been over to visit for three years but when I do this is one of the places I love to go again. Nicely shot. My daughter and grandchildren now live in brimington but whitby and scarsborough would be a fun day trip. Hopefully in a few years.

Do you like Lord Byron. I live across the road from his house Newstead Abby .

I went there with the TA back in 73. Maybe we should all post photos of where we live, with members from all around the world it may be interesting. I guess you'd need to include a kilted picture.

I do not know Lord Byron's writings, which is, I suppose, to my detriment. My impression from secondary sources leads me to believe that he may be a bit too romantic for me. Apparently, at least some of the Bronte sisters thought highly of his work, though, and he strongly influenced some of their characters, eg Heathcliff in WH and Rochester in JE.

This was the first time I tried out my new leather sporran as well . Its just a standard black Sporran but looked a bit plain for me so I stuck a badge on the front and I think it looks a lot better now and soot's my military kilts .

Great idea, certainly brightens it up.
