Super pictures as usual. It's almost like being there. I love the Moffat Woollen Mill and bought my 'day dress' sgian dhu there some years back. Hector Russell stuff is very good. I've left it too long and must get back up to visit my relatives in Peebles next year.
The Kilt is my delight !

I'm curious - what was the original purpose of the little Automobile Association phone-booth cabin thing?
Lovely pictures.

Lovely pictures.
They were telephone boxes that members of that motoring association could access with a key and report a problem with their vehicle and claim assistance that their membership entitled them to.
They appeared long before the advent of the mobile (cell) phone!
(The RAC had their own boxes for their own members.)

Great photos Alex. I worked for a time in a wool mill in Swanzey, New Hampshire and each of us weavers had to keep six large looms going all the time. That photo reminds me of those looms. I wish I had a photo of the operation we had there.
