UK in Glacier Nat'l Park

Karen and I drove down to Glacier National Park in Montana yesterday to drive the "Going to the Sun" road. It's by far the most scenic road we've ever been on. We went from east to west on Sunday, then came back across from west to east today. This is the only pic I got with me in it. All I took for the trip was the UK. No shorts, jeans, etc. The only comments we heard were positive ones. I even had a couple of different people approach me to comment on my "cool kilt". All in all a great way to spend two kilted days!

Sorry for the terrible picture. It seems the battery in my trusty old Minolta 35mm camera is dying. It was a much nicer day than it appears in the pic.

Great pic. Glacier is another one of the National Parks on my LONG list of places to visit. Starting to think I need to get one of the UK's for hiking etc.

Great scenery. I have to get up to that part of our continent to see Glacier Nat'l Park, as well as Waterton Lakes and Jasper/Banff. I've got an itinerary worked up based out of Calgary, but I need to save up the time and money.

This thread made me think of Glacier's Scottish Connection: Duncan McDonald, the son of a Scots Hudson's Bay Company trader and a Native American woman. McDonald Lake is named for him.
