    An unexpected walking holiday

Just back from two weeks holiday that were supposed to have been spent on the beach. The weather decided not to co-operate so it turned into a walking holiday instead.
This first pic is of my latest GPI polyviscose in Freedom tartan. The colours haven't come out at all well, the blues especially haven't translated and no amount of mucking about with Photoshop seemed to sort it!

It's a tad too short for me @ 24" so gets worn low but did earn its keep as a hiking kilt which for about £40 wasn't too bad at all.

Yes Dirk, bought from thescotlandkiltcompany.co.uk along with some of their hose and a ghillie shirt courtesy of Mr Lakhbir Singh. Can't say I had any major problems with them, quick service and, when I emailed to point out that one pair of hose had been left out of the first delivery, they arrived by post a couple of days later.

so much looking like the Douglas tartan...you're right, colors didnt come out right in the photo.

but as far as wearing it, and the wearer, the ensemble looks just right for a hike.

Thanks Blinki, it's an S112 sporran from Janet Eagleton & Son that I bought a few years ago. It's remarkably roomy though the closure system doesn't cope well with too much weight.
