now it's just a hobby. I painted these figures for people and use to get quite a bit depending on the size 15mm through 54 mm) and how much detail you wanted. Most people wanted them for wargaming which I also enjoyed. What made me stop was I just couldn't paint another roman, american civil war or Napoleonic soldier which is what most people wanted. I enjoyed them at first but the same uniform, pose or shield hundreds of times in a row finally got to me. I loved celts for their variety of costume and poses and scots were always my favorite. The kilts are very hard but they were always fun. Now I just do it for fun and relaxation. The scottish highlanders I just finished were 28 mm and great poses. I did a little photoshopping with the background.

Very cool, and beautifully painted. I haven’t painted miniatures in years. Where do you get the Kilted warriors? What game are they associated with?

Several decades ago I was working in Belfast. While having a pint at the hotel bar, I got talking to the barman turns out his hobby was painting military figures. Some of the the ones he showed me were really well done. When I came home on R&R I bought two unpainted figures, of generals Lee and Grant. When I went back to Belfast and gave them to him. He was just like a kid at Christmas. After work the next day when I went into the bar he already had Lee painted and it was perfect. Next day he had Grant done. Wish I could have found more figures for him. My hats off to any one that has the patience to paint those small pieces.
