Utilikilts Blue Denim Workman's
I used to have a Utilikilts blue denim original. Loved it - was well broken in and soft...used to worry it looked too much like a lady's jean skirt but the comfort of it got me over that fast. Of course I "outgrew" it and sold it.
Then I spot a blue denim Workmans!! How cool is that? Hardly a "jean skirt" look with this puppy. So ordered one up in my new size and now the chore is to break it in too.

Pic is out at our agency's Healing Ground on the Navajo reservation south of LeChee', Arizona. That's the foundation of our new hogaan that's being built. We'll have Traditional ceremonies inside when its completed.

This pic is the view looking west from the Healing Ground - that's the Vermillion Cliffs in the early morning Sun. Just magnificent....the cliffs AND the kilt.

Looking good Ron, that jacket goes great with the kilt and hose.

Looks really good. You going to wear it when climbing those cliffs?
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Aye, Spencer Trail at Lees Ferry goes straight up the Vermillion Cliffs. A thin and scary trail but warm in the winter since it faces south. We'll see...we'll see...

Ron:
The apron looks like the "new standard" just curious why you would elect to pick that over the original apron? (which I had issues enough with because of the width.) The reason I ask is I know you have a lot of traditional kilts and after acquiring a few myself it makes me feel even more uncomfortable with narrow aprons.
BTW I know you like Robert Pel's leather kilts, let me tell you the indigo blue in hemp while not denim is a sweeeet kilt. I love mine.

Must be the camera angle or something. Same size apron I've had on all my other Workman's.

Re: Utilikilts Blue Denim Workman's
I found a denim workman at the San Francisco store. I was looking for a denim trad UK, even though I thought they had been discontinued. Didn't know they were making the denim workman, but I snapped it up. Haven't had an opportunity to wear it out yet though; it's been pretty cool around here lately, and on these recent kilting occasions I wore my wool kilt. Looking forward to getting some use out of it later.

I did the same thing when I saw it on line - snapped it up, then snapped it on.
I was out early yesterday morning when I took the pics and the temps were in the high teens F and it did well - remember heat rises. Never felt cold. Course - had those thick kilt hose on too and layered with a warm jacket.
