VA Scottish Games 2013 Pix
It was the 40th Annual Virginia Scottish Games this Labor Day weekend held in The Plains. Summer went out with typical Virginia August weather of high temperatures and humidity.
Our Saturday Meet Up:
L to R; SCV40bt, MC, New World Czech, Mark Ellis, Holcombe Thomas, Sean MacCallum (Sean had biked 50 miles 'up hill' to be with us).

I went for a walkabout and found Orvis and his friend Susan. Re-enactors in the Alpine Regiment.

Here are some of the parade taken of the parade and from the parade.

Anyone else with pics of the Games feel free to add them to this thread if you like.

Well done........looks like you had fun Mael.......
I'm glad Mark Ellis had his foot at an appropriate angle or we'd have to classify this differently......

I had a good number of XMarkers drop by the tent both days. Not all, did I get pics of but here are the ones I did.
Robert Glasgow & wife Abby

Dryfly

This fellow identified himself as a XMarker, who has been inactive, but I can remember his forum name.

Mirthlesstroll with her son

Kilted Joss with his daughter

Madadh and his boys came by, AcuteEnigma left her AGM to tell me about her plans for Bannockburn 2014, Quincy2 and his son came to the games for their first time, and another lass, Celtic Kiltie who had recognized me by the Dandelion when we met at the Frederick Celtic Festival

Oh, and one more thing. When someone took me up on my offer for a Scottish Ale, I gave them a bottle of Newcastle Bombshell. When I got that skeptical look when they saw it was a Newcastle, I had them read the label where it was brewed!

Great photos as always. Looks like a great event, maybe someday I'll be able to make it down that way.

Mael,
Don't mean to be picky, but it's APPIN, as in Appin Stewart.
