    Vancouver Visit

My wife and I were in Vancouver for my stepson's graduation from the University of British Columbia in May. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Rex (too) at ThistleDown House in North Vancouver. Rex and his wife were gracious hosts, and we were kept busy with the ceremony and visiting UBC. We were also able to relax in the comfort of Thistledown House.
We also walked down to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, as we'd not been there before. Here are a few pictures.

    Rex and I inside.

    Comparing kilt construction.

In the garden of Thistledown House.

Mrs. Macman and I near the bridge.

On one of the smaller bridges that goes through the forest.

My wife and the graduate posing with a beary big Mountie.

Me getting fresh with the hostess.

    Thumbs up

Great photos! Thanks for sharing.....and brings back some fond memories too, though my first time across the Capilano Suspension Bridge was a wee bit queasy , but I made it across (despite vertigo ).

Rex, I must ask for more details on your kilt hose, they're wonderful!

Thanks, Terry. Every time that Ruth goes off home to Switzerland (and that's often) I benefit by a new pair of hose. These are a couple of years old, I think, so there must be four or six more pair in the drawer since then.

    Fantastic pictures !
    Thank you for sharing them.

Now then, considering those incredible Swiss hoses, I happen to live a half an hour away from Switzerland ! Would you have a brand to share with me ?
    Thank you.

Hi Robert. Well that wasn't very clear, was it? They are Swiss, for sure, but they come from Ruth's needles and not some manufactory. I suspect lying about in fields of wildflowers in Graubunden in the Spring and Summer, or rushing down the ski slopes of Davos or Klosters in the Winter gets a bit wearing after a while, so the needles and wool come out and I gain another pair of hose (and somebody else gains a sweater or two).
