    Violent Geology

Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the noonday sun. Was out hiking at noon today - temp only about 95 degrees F.

One thing amazing about this area is evidence of how violent things must have been eons ago.

Something forced the land to break up.

Then found the "headwaters" (when there is water) of Nine Mile Wash....that flows into the Colorado River a couple miles away.

And then, found this cool "Kilt Pedestal."

Wonderful photos of our amazing Southwestern landscape, as usual!

So, are you meeting up with Barb T and her visitor? Seems like a natural. . .

First I've heard of Barb being in this area - what's up?

I think she said she's already headed over to Colorado, so you may have just missed her.
