The walk reminded me

Last weekend the majority of our friends went to the students union to attend 'Vision for Living' .... its about alternative therapies, auras, crystals etc.
It was a nice day so Arwyn and myself decided to take a stroll ... we have been to the event before.
We were soon off the bus and in the countryside

Passed an old watermill

Met someone who was busy having their dinner

About an hour later we reached our destination and settled in and had a pint of Marstons Pedigree .. and a well kept pint it was. Its a very small hamlet .. the pub, the church and a few houses.

For some reason the fresh air made me remember that I bought a jacket back last year ... its sort of Cilt like but a normal jacket. I got it for peanuts in a sale in H & M. Have to go to a casual student do this Sat, so dug it out and thought I would wear it

I have a vest that looks like it. but green instead of blue.

I have another one, I like the look. But my lovely wife says that I look like a kilted hobbit... I kinda like that....

I got it at Value Village. It's a commercial version of Goodwill or The Salvation Army. People donate the stuff and they sell it. I don't know where they give the money or if they even do. But I know they hire people that might not be able to get a job normally. This is probably their way of giving back.
But you can find great stuff... this vest cost me about 2$, probably lest since it also had another 50% off...

Having been there with Derek, I can assure you it is a very good pub, serving good beer. Somewhere in Derek's archive of photos, there is one he took of me sitting outside that pub eagerly waiting for opening time. Happy days!
