What does Sir Francis Chichester have to do with the Maple Leaf?
Me!
At Easter friend Michael and I visited some friends in Plymouth and they brought out one of their prized possessions.
This is one of three keel bolts from Gypsy Moth IV that was auctioned off to help fun a refit of the famous yacht back in 2005.
For those who might not remember Sir Francis Chichester:

Anyway I had to capture it against the background of the Maple Leaf kilt I was wearing at the time.
Another kilted link with history and adventure!
