    Wild West Wales

We spent the last few days in wildest west wales with our friend moira, staying in a static caravan.
Just before we left our cottage

The sun was setting when we arrived

It was a glorious morning the following day

After some breakfast we were ready to head off on a walking adventure

    And then we were off

Passed some lovely properties including one with a duck pond

Soon we were on the cliff tops heading to a a village called little haven. It’s in a very small cove.

Once we arrived at the cove we headed here for a refresher

Later again we were in need of more substance so took refuge here. Behind the glas door in the pic is a pothole/well.

The troops in my care were quite happy to stay a while.

After which we headed back to the van for the eve

Next day we took off the St Davids. Great views on route

The Preseli hills. This is the only place in the uk when you can find bluestone. Bluestone was used as the top stones of Stonehenge. To this day they still cant work out how stoneage man got them back to Stonehenge which must be 250 miles away. Why they came in search of them is another mystery

Soon we were at St Davids Cathedral. You can see the hills again in the background

Thought it was quite appropriate that I was wearing my St Davids at St Davids

Then we were in need of substance. So took off here.

The girls found a suitable place to sit

Then we drove down to Marloes and went walking again for a few hours.

Back to the cliff tops to ascertain our global position as the girls said ..

Back on one of the country lanes was a toilet. This sign pointed to it.
The sign is far from luxury

    That’s it

I love that area of coast.

But remember I was the first person to wear a St Davids in St Davids!

I love it; except for the castles, churches, culture and history (in other words, just about "everything") it reminds me a lot of the northern California/Oregon coast of the U.S. We've got to get "over there" one day. Thanks for the great pictures.
