An SNP guerilla on patrol comes to mind. Oops, I didn't just say that. I think it looks awesome myself, I really wanted one of those white UK's when the snow hit here! I realize I wouldn't wear it any other time, but in the snow it would have been awesome. And your picture shows me just how awesome it would have been!

Awesome shot, Ron. We've been getting the snow down here in Flagstaff too. I showed my partner your pictures and she said "That is a handsome man. What a lovely beard." I'll try not to be too jealous ;-)

Spectacular. The desert is so visually stunning, no?
Many years ago I spent one winter working in the southern California desert (the Coachella valley). Carol was back home in San Diego and I missed her so, but I found that the desert is a remarkable place to be when one's life has strong emotional undertones such as when being apart from a loved one. All at once it soothes and yet magnifies that melancholy feeling caused by the pervasive awareness of her absence.
That year, I think it was 1979, it snowed in the southern California desert (which is low desert, so this was definitely not a common event) and it stuck for one whole day. It was incredibly beautiful on the ground, but I was also lucky enough to get up in a plane that day and see that desert vastness on a larger scale; that crystalline purity borne of the absence of anything but either immense sky, or ground that is paradoxically fecund, and almost completely devoid of vegetation. Those were sights I'll never forget.
Your pictures served as reminders. Thanks.

I don't see.... oh right there. Your shoes gave you up. Wow snow in Arizona! Haven't even had 1 snow flake up here in Ontario. Do you think the earth has finally shifted it's axis? Excuse me, I have to go now and cut my grass.
