To work kilted and back
This is today's get up to go to work. About every other day or so so not to stretch my office's welcome.

That outfit looks great. I'm jealous of the fact that you can wear a kilt to work. Is your office okay with you showing your tattoos? A lot of offices expect any ink to be covered.

Looks good. Do you get a lot of friction at work because of your kilts?

Thanks guys for the comments, it really is fantastic that I can go to work kilted and they at least like it (if not full blown approve of it)
As to some specifics:
That outfit looks great. I'm jealous of the fact that you can wear a kilt to work. Is your office okay with you showing your tattoos? A lot of offices expect any ink to be covered.
Funny thing is I work for a security firm, we do consulting, masterplanning, assesments, etc. So we for the most part stay in the office and rarely get 'clients' actually visiting us, so the environment is fairly relaxed in that we have flex hours, a relaxed dress code (yet still professional), etc.
Tattoos are ok for the most part, mainly because those of us who have them, I guess have enough sense to be tasteful about them.
Looks good. Do you get a lot of friction at work because of your kilts?
Surprisingly not. I started weeks ago telling the guys at work about my outing in kilt, comments, etc. Preparing the field sort of.
Monday of last week I told the guys that didn't seem to believe me that I would wear my kilt on Friday of last week, and to get their eyes washed after the fact.
So I did show up kilted last Friday (casual look), one of the VPs saw me and had nothing but good comments and told me to go with him to the 'ivory tower' (our second floor where the big wigs work) and that I was going to make an old man's day.
He took me to the President's office (who happens to be a retired large city Police Chief) and he also had nothing but good comments and seem interested to know why, how, how much, etc.
He half jokingly told me he was dissapointed he didnt win the 'when is Hector going to come to work in kilt' office pool, which I didnt even know they had.
So in short, while not fully and officially endorsed, it was not frowned upon or forbidden.
Curiously the only one that insists in calling it a skirt is our receptionist. She's the playful/mischievous type gal so I know its all in fun, and the guys approve as well.
Specially the half scot/half irish guy that works 2 offices to my right. He's heavily into the pogues, the popes, flogging molly, etc. so he's telling everyone how many chicks im getting and how you never mess with a guy in a kilt unless you want your **** kicked to mush.
Which is nothing but encouraging. But I don't want to push it either, so maybe 1-2 days a week is appropriate.
