    Great pictures! I certainly hope the pictures of the sow and her cubs were taken from a considerable distance with a telephoto lens, as sows can be very protective.

    thanks. I was with a group of 6 people when she came out of the forest and down the hill at a fairly close range. It wasn't a threatening move just wanted to go pass where we were, to where she wanted to go. Over the last decade I have been around and studied quite a few grizzlies and while I understand they are wild, individual and unpredictable I feel fairly comfortable in grizzly country especially in a group of more than 4.
