Just home from a belated Birthday Weekend roaming around Zion with my lady. We explored Grafton, Utah a ghost town along the Virgin River where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was filmed. Wore my Macdonald of the Isles Weathered Hunting, a 16 ounce Lochcarron Strome hand sewn by Kathy Lare of Kathy's Kilts in Albuquerque. Sporran is the brown leather Nightstalker from Stillwater Kilts. Lewis kilt hose and traditional garter ties from Scottish Tartans Museum. Boots are Z Coil Hikers. This is the door of the schoolhouse from the bike riding scene in the movie. Here's another shot at the backdoor of an old house in Grafton. Here's a pleat shot in the doorway of an old building at Grafton. And one last shot at Zion Mountain Ranch where we stayed. Wearing a jean jacket in lieu of a sporran. Driving home this morning my lady said that this kilt is her "second favorite" after the Isle of Skye. Ron

Ol' Macdonald himself, a proud son of Skye and Cape Breton Island Lifetime Member STA. Two time winner of Utilikiltarian of the Month. "I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
