I have one tattoo on my left shoulder. Unfortunately, it is never seen unless I am at the beach, poolside, or with my lovely bride.

And I probably have as many tattoos as anyone on this site. See pic below. Except for the thistle design on my neck I do not have any heritage designs. Mine are mostly Navy designs.

I'm an artist, and I admire the artistry of well-done tattoos, but I don't think I'll ever get one myself.
For me a "tattoo" is a gathering of military bands!

I'd have to roll my sleeves all the way up, and scrunch my hose all the way down, for my ink to show whilst kilted...!
