Freedom Kilts is moving
We got the official word this morning. The building we have the shop in has been sold and we have 30 days to vacate.
The good news is that we have been working for over four months to find a new shop because we would like to expand the company by a minimum of 30% this year and we have already outgrown the current space.
The really good news is that we have found a shop right across the street! Of course this means my morning commute has increased from 244 steps to 256 steps from my house.
The new shop is twice as big. Has ample room for the four sewing stations, each with it's own lay-out and ironing tables.
We will be having to scramble to get the new location repaired, re-wired, and painted and yet not have to shut-down the production.
The new shop will even have enough room to set-up an actual retail showroom.
Wish me luck guys, this is a big step for us and I'm scared to death.

Good luck on the move and new location. Any chance of a free kilt in exchange for helping with the move?
-
Best of luck Steve I'm sure you'll make the most of this new opportunity.
-
Wow, I had never actually looked at the Freedom Kilts site. I'm impressed. I really like the "Dress Model" seeing as I like the more traditional kilts...
-
Allow plenty of time for that extra long commute. CONGRATULATIONS Steve on your sudden but anticipated growth!
-
You'll do just fine with the new location Steve. Keep up the great work.

Best of luck Steve :)

What they all said! Seriously, good luck in the new location! :)

An ACTUAL SHOW ROOM!?!? Imagine that!
As I told you before... same kind of thing happened to us 8 months ago. BEST of luck to you and Bobbi in the move.
Now you have to find things to fill the showroom!
One question though... why are you scared? Don't you follow the same blind luck stupid business model we do... "if you build it they will come"
-
Wow! Talk about a great opportunity. Right across the street where the customers are familiar with your location, more space for expansion, a showroom, etc.
Do you think the word might be EXCITED and not scared? I'm excited for you just thinking about it. You don't need luck you just need the time to get it ready. So my best wishes for you and your continued success. :)
Cheers! Bill
