The Claddagh is happy to host any kilt wearing folks looking for a fun evening on May 14th. They will be offering a drink special that night for us and we will be able to enjoy the band that will be playing. The band is Extra Stout, a fine Irish pub band.

I have made contact with a couple of groups in the Toledo area to let them know what we are doing, hoping to get the attention of any kilt wearers not on the forum.

Not a problem getting this going. The manager at the pub was extremely thrilled at the idea. She was passing my contact info and the date to someone she knew in the TFD pipe and drum corp. I dropped a few notes to some other people I know and posted on one of the local boards. Looks like we are going to get a reasonable number to show.

Extra Stout is going to dedicate their kilt song to us that night.

I'm up to three confirmed attending in kilts, including myself.

TFD Pipe and Drums are great guys. I went to their Jiggs Dinner a couple months ago. You will easily see them from across the room if they wear their casual kilts.

Thats what I was told at the restaurant. I'm really hoping that I'm able to get the info to them.

I hate it when things come up, and I have 3 places to be. I hope the kilt night runs long, so I can stop by after a meeting I need to be at that just came up for that evening. It can be tricky when you are a trustee for a non-profit, and on the committee for their major fundraiser of the year. (got a wrap-up/review meeting for this year's hamfest that night)

Damn shame you might not be there. I just stopped by the pub to chat with tge management again. Looks like the drink special is going to be $3 Guinness and one free Guinness if your wearing a kilt. Not a bad deal when I believe a Guinness there is about $5 normally.

Well, we'll see how late my meeting goes. Maybe the group will still be around after my meeting.

WOOHOO! My meeting has been changed. I'll be there all evening.

Quick update. Checked in with the pub again. The managers have been letting known kilt wearers know as they see them, and I was told they had passed word to a pipe and drum corps as well. So there could be a good crew there.
