I'm very impressed by the craft- his technique is wonderful looking. I believe the end result has missed it's mark though, as it resembles a purse far more than it does a sporran.

To his credit, the other "Not a sporran!" threads have been people buying purses and selling them as sporrans.
This was at least designed to be an alternative style sporran, so it's no less of a sporran than the Alt.Kilt canvas bag.
And as far as non-traditional sporran designs go, it is pretty neat.
As for the divine insight... Jury is still out on that.
