Lucky find!!
My wife, the beautiful and talented florist, is in the process of working on a wedding for a long time friend and so we had to make a trip to the flea market in Raleigh, NC looking for antique brooches. While digging through some baskets I came across this.

I included the ink pen for reference. What do you think? Is it too large for a kilt pin? Mind you the pin was only 50 cents.

3, 31/2 inches? Looks just about the right size mate. Nice find!

It is a kilt pin - good find!

Some people have all the luck. I wish I could find a pen like that.
Great find! Congratulations. Don't forget to post a pic sometime with you wearing your new kilt pin.

I can't say that I often make finds this good. In fact in our small, very rural home town I would be very surprised to find even a pin that would work. As I said it took going to Raleigh to find that. So as far as my luck goes I can't be said to have it all.
I am thinking about wearing my kilt to church tomorrow so maybe a pic then. If not I'll definitely get one posted.

I found a similar one and put small crinoid fossil fragments on it.

They're also available in their brick & mortar stores where these costs can be avoided ;)
