Like, wow man! Got notice today from Donnie my new sporran is done. I asked for one that speaks of the Great Plains, made of bison leather, and closed with a grizzly bear claw. By George, he got it.

Congrats on the new sporran. I especially like the bear claw closure. Donnie does fantastic work, wear it proudly.

Very, very nice. Donny, as usual, is outstanding. I wore my Wyvern last evening to hike the mountain and pipe to the sky.

BTW: Donnie, your site off line?

When I first asked Donnie about doing this, I said I wanted the bag made of buffalo leather, but knowing it wouldn't be tooled, I'd like the flap to somehow be distinctive, not just another cookie cutter TPCD (Traditional Pakistani Country Dress) day sporran. I tossed a couple of simplistic ideas his way, but told him to use his imagination. He came back with the idea of making the flap with a beaver tail, like an old mountain man's possible bag. I loved it, and that's what he did. The guy's a blommin' genius.

I sent him four bear claws to chose from. I favored the plains grizzly claw over the mountain and northern type claws, as buff' and grizz' once shared a common range, much of it here in Kansas, but left the final choice up to him. From the picture, it looks like that's what he went with.

I won't be back home until about the 14th, so this beautiful piece of art is going to have to remain in the post office a while. Thoughts of this may cause me to dash home sooner than expected.

    Hi Tolloch,
As far as I can tell, the site is running. I will do some checking, though.
