    "Blackbird" sung in Scots Gaelic
For those that haven't already stumbled across this, I thought you might enjoy this. Sung by Julie Fowlis:

Julie Fowlis is an excellent musician, only great things to say about her!

In addition to singing, she is a talented whistle player and piper!

There's a large number of songs and tunes with that name which I've heard over the years, I've not heard the Julie Fowlis one before now.

In Irish traditional music there's a Set Dance called The Blackbird. Perhaps the most famous performance of it is by The Bothy Band, who play it as an Air, a Set Dance, and a Reel.

Interestingly, one of the oldest West Virginia fiddlers who was recorded, Edden Hammons, played a tune with the tantalizing title Queen Of The Earth And Child Of The Skies which is obviously the same melody.

Back around 1980 I was taught a completely different Set Dance tune also called The Blackbird.
