    interesting poss early sporran Ebay
To me this sporran has archaic features suggesting perhaps 1900-1920s or so, I'll have to pull out the old catalogues from then to see if I can find a match.

(Clearer photos would have been nice.)

Too bad the condition isn't great, with the flap leather cracking.

Does anyone have a sporran like this? Or a vintage photo showing one like it being worn?

Richard I think you are correct, the cut of the sporran with the slight point at the bottom reminds me of some of the older late Victorian / early Edwardian era doublets that had tashes that were a similar shape. The closure is different as well.
I’m sure in your collection of old catalogues you’ll find something similar that may narrow down a date.

My earliest catalogues are from the 1920s and by then the sporrans seem to have got their modern shape, the typical rounded bottom.

I looked through all my vintage men-in-kilts photos and likewise no joy.

But I know I've seen that pointy bottom somewhere! Can't remember where.
