Oh, and Andy, the wait won't be too much longer. I started on your kilt today, so you should have it soon after the new year.
Aye,
Matt
Ha! I sent the previous post before I read yours. Thanks Matt.

Great Kilt! Nice photos! Thanks for sharing!

That DOES look great. It's making me fiend for my Matt Newsome made kilt even more. Mine should be here about the middle of January.

A sharp looking tartan David,
Seeing you standing in front of the woods it just occured to me that if the Virginia troops had worn kilts in the War Between the States they'd surely have chosen a tartan close to those colors.

If I showed up at a re-enactment in a kilt, my commander would strap me to the front of our 6 pounder and pull the lanyard!:crap:

Did the material come from Tartan Web?

Sure did Allen, I wore it as a belted-plaide for years. I always thought it would make a nice box-pleat.

Same as with the Feilidh Mohr:
Sharp looking tartan. You picked your fabric up from what site Dave?
It may be worth buying up some yardage for sending in to get tailored, or just hand pleat it out, and belt it on...
I just got my own box pleat in... Matt does some killer work to be sure!
