    My new Wilson Modern kilt
This is a Burnett's & Struth 16oz Casual kilt in the Wilson Modern tartan. I just finally had the chance to really try it on last night, as it's been so hectic the past week or so. I ordered the kilt on 12/9 and it arrived on 12/30, just in time for my company's Holiday party tomorrow evening. Aside from being just a tad too big (it's already on the last belt hole), I love it. I love the tartan. It is rare to see the Wilson tartan, and I think even more rare to see the modern variation.

    Nice looking kilt Brian.

I was kilted in a Wilson for my daughter's wedding in 2000 (my first time kilted), the wedding was in Cape Breton so I figured ya gotta go with a kilt eh!

Anyway the kilt was borrowed but I purchased the remainder of my kit. (there is a point to this post, trust me)!

If you would like, I have a tie in Wilson, wool, made in Scotland. I only wore it once, it's in perfect condition. IF you'd like this, PM your address and I'll send it to you. This is a gift and no charge to you.

    Cheers,
    Ken

    Looking good.
As you say, a relatively rare tartan, not really a clan tartan as such but devised by Wilson's of Bannockburn who wove many of the clan tartans in the early nineteenth century. I have a five yard kilt in this tartan, as my Irish great-grandmother was a Wilson.

I love the red and green, too. I describe the kilt as Christmasy. :)
