How do I contact a forum member?

Hello from me, it's my first post here I have a bit of a random request

Several years ago, I stumbled onto this forum whilst doing a genealogy search and google churned up a post on here from 10 years ago. A member mentioned the same Scottish ancestors from the late 1700s who I'm searching for!

It's taken me years to find the post again, so when I did I thought I'd join up and pop a (rather late!) reply to the OP ... except the thread is so old that it's now closed. Then, I thought I'd just send a PM instead ... but I can't see any way of doing that. Perhaps because he's a dormant member?

Is there any way of contacting the person? It would be nice - he's most likely my 4th cousin
