Dirk: typical erroneous Ebay description
This dirk was made by Art Pewter Silver Glasgow (est 1968) who made items in EPNS finish (electro-plated Nickel Silver).
However, it's listed as being made in Edinburgh and being silver plated.
Nickel silver, also known as German silver, also known as cupro-nickel, is an alloy of nickel, copper, and zinc with no silver content.

eBay has, for a little while now, been pushing sellers to use its AI tool to write titles and descriptions, and I wonder if this is the predictable result of that effort.
