Hi all!
Hello from metro Detroit! My name is Paul. I'm newly kilted! I picked up my first Kilt on Christmas Eve Day... I purchased it to wear at my wedding in March.. I plan on wearing it much more that that, but I think I'll start out with the Highland games and Ren. festivals till I get more comfortable.

"Yo" to the Motor City from the home of Drive-by Shootings!
Stick around and read-up on all the fun that we have with the kilts, music, and heritage. There's more to kilts than Celtic movies!
Congratulations on the wedding too. I'll be pleated in April.

Paul,
A hearty welcome to ya! Good to have you on
the forum. A word of warning, both kilts and this
forum are HIGHLY addictive.

Welcome Detroit...I actually stayed in the Algiers Motel Annex a few months before the riots back in 1965..I think...fuzzy. Detroit NEEDS kilts...get out there and walk proud.
Enjoy the board...

I think you are referring to a Michigan left.. LOL
A Michigan left, is on a divided hwy. were you drive past the road you want to turn left on. Then take a turn around (U-turn through the median). Then turn right on the road you wanted in the first place…… LOL

Cooul!
I have relatives in Detroit. I also spent an interesting evening in the South Side during a cross-country hitchhiking trip many years ago.
Welcome to our little sanctuary.
