    How Do You Choose?

I got to thinking this morning (I know, I know - careful there). Those of you who wear kilts more or less regularly as daily wear, how do you choose which kilt to wear? Do you wear the same one several days in a row? Do you wear a diffeent one each day? Do you alternate tartan and solid? Do you do tartan weeks and solid weeks? Or, do you just open the closet and wear what strikes your fancy that day? Just curious.

At this point (21 kilts and counting) I figure out what SHIRT I want to wear and then match it to a kilt. It's easier that way... hahaha

I have about 10 kilts that get REGULAR wear and a few that get SOME wear and a couple that don't get any wear (just got tired of the tartans). Those last few I will probably sell for cheap and invest in some more wool!

This is my problem as well. I need a few more shirts to go with the various kilts that I have....I need to stop buying as many kilts and a few more kilt accessories

It's often a matter of which is closest at hand. I also never wear the same kilt two days in a row, though I may wear it every other day.

It depends on what I want to do, and the look I am going for. Something dressy? Either my UK olive mocker or the SWK Nightwatch.
Tough guy look? UK Workmans, and color depends on which shirt and boots I want to wear.

Something more wild and fun? One of the camo kilts.

Need lots of pockets? UK Survival or Workmans.

I tartan all the time ( and all my family tartan ). Only wear the UK when I don't want to get my tartans kilts damaged, because we all know UK's are damn-near indestructable.

Really depends on my mood and destination. The only rule I have been following lately is to wear a tartan on Mondays. Why you ask? Because Mondays are new hire day, and all of the people joining the company are sitting in the lobby of the entrance I use to get to my office. So I get to greet every new hire (well, they get to see me on the way in), and I figure a tartan is easier for some people to identify. However, 2 weeks ago when Monday morning was in the single digits, I wore the lined PK and did not worry about it.

For me it depends on the work I'm doing, the weather, and whether I am seeing clients and need to be smart, or working around the workshop where I need to be comfy.

If I'm going out I'll wear a tartan and accessorise it according to where I'm going.

It's great to have choices, and as long as I'm kilted, I'm a happy man.
I'm at 15 kilts at present, a few more to go to catch up with Hamish

It all depends on what I'm doing. For work it's either a Stillwaster standerd or one of the heavy militery kilts when it's colder. The rest of the time again depends on where I'm going and plan on doing. At the moment my biggest problem is having accessories for the kilts I have.
