    My first kilt arrived

My USA Kilts casual in Ireland's National arrived yesterday. I have four not so terrific photos up at Kiltphotos.com. I don't think I can post those directly into this message as they don't have .jpg extensions, but you can see them here:

    http://www.kiltphotos.com/thumbnails.php?album=91

In addition to the kilt, I bought a kilt belt with the Irish harp motif on the buckle, a matching kilt pin, a Celtic Knot sporran, a pair of kilt hose and green flashes (no pictures with the hose/flashes yet).

The funny thing is yesterday when I got home I checked the front porch - no package - and then entered the house from the garage since I needed to stash my bike. Later that night a good friend stopped by. As I opened the door for her, the box fell on my feet. It had been there all day, in between the doors. Since I had used the garage door I had no idea. I almost knocked her down running the bedroom so I could change.

I'm also very embarrassed to admit how long it took me to figure out the kilt belt. Has anyone else been baffled at first putting the buckle on and figuring out how to adjust the belt? Or is that just me? It sure does look sharp though. I love the harp motif. And it is much more substantial than I thought it would be. All of the items I bought surpassed my expectations. I thought my friend was going to try and steal my kilt hose.

What a wonderful night. I am really looking forward to getting home tonight and seeing how different shirts go with it. Anyway, I am one happy camper.

    Hard to go wrong . . .

Hard to go wrong with a USA Casual! That's a very sharp looking outfit. Can't help on the belt side of things, as I don't have a real "kilt belt."

Aren't new kilts exciting to get! Your's really looks good!

I just got sample swatches from USA Kilts and was so excited about just them. My wife picked out the Buccleuch one. She said it wasn't as bright as the others. I don't know if she doesn't like the colors on the others, or just doesn't want my kilt to be too "flashy." I haven't asked her why she said that. Now as soon as we have time this weekend, I will get measured and can order my third kilt!!! Can't wait.

    DALE.

You are certainly off to a good start with a USA Kilt. Congratulations. The Ireland's National is an awesome tartan. I like wearing mine with an orange polo, or khaki with oatmeal hose. There are TONS of options. I even got my cousin Billy into kilting with one of those.

Congratulations! My USAK IN is still one of my favorite kilts. Matches with many things, and just fun to wear. Enjoy it!
