My fantastic Vmac jacket!!!
Well, as I mentioned in my St. Andrew's ball post, Victoria (Vmac3205) gifted me with a fantastic new jacket: One of her converted tweed sportcoats.
Let me say first, this thing is so good that I plan to order a few in other styles in the coming year. It fits me perfectly and she didn't even know my measurements!!!
It's a dark green Harris Tweed and it is fantastic.
So here are some pictures.
First, a picture of me about to leave for Thanksgiving dinner. Forgive the face. I had an accident three weeks ago and set my face on fire... it's still healing up bit by bit.

I decided to be daring and wear a blue shirt, tie and flashes with my heritage of Wales Kilt and my green hose with the jacket. I think it looked pretty good, myself.
Here are a few of the details.
The famous braided epaulettes:

The very nicely converted cuffs:

And the very well done pockets:

Now, let me just say that the one thing I ADORE about this jacket is that it has proper pockets. Most of my Kilt jackets have very small pockets which are almost useless.
This thing has loads of proper pockets so I can carry all I need!!!
And, to finish, Diane decided she looked a lot better in the jacket than I did. I agreed. (The black face is my niece. She's still very young so I'm being overly protective.)

And, just for interest... on the day I wear my Heritage of Wales Kilt Diane takes this picture without my knowing... now, what Welsh people do we know who pose like this?

Victoria, I'll be ordering from you in February!

Arlen,
A very handsome jacket, but it does look better on Diane!

Congratulations! Sounds great.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Wow what a fine looking coat!! The details (the cuffs, braided epaulettes and pockets) are very well done.
Wear in good health Arlen!

Arlen,
She looks ALOT better than you in the jacket.
Of course she's knows better than to try to burn her face off. Some guys will do anything to keep from shaving.
