This was more of a project than I thought it would be, but I learned a lot from it. The next one should go easier. I can totally understand why these full-maskers cost what they do. Something like this (but professionally done) from Craigie Originals would go for about $350-$375. Just a few process pix I used 1/2 of a wooden eg as the skull form, and dremeled eye holes Mounted eyes from Van Dyke Taxidermy Did a lot of shaping with the wet hide to pop out the nose and ears. The claws typically come like this, all twisted. After soaking the get more pliable, and can be shaped and dried to use as the tassels And the final result. I made the base sporran out of black veg-tan leather and glued/sewed the pelt on. This will serve as my formal sporran for most formal occasions. At least for now.

Very nice and Yikes!
WOW!
What Bradley said!
Very nice work. How long did it take for you to make total?
Very nice. You did a great job, there. I can see it must have been a lot of work, but it looks like it'd be worth it.
That's gorgeous but I'm sure it would scare the heck out of my grandson.
Great job!
Wow... I'm absolutely speechless (which is unusual for me)! GREAT work!
I would be scared to wear such a thing. I wonder what kind of response you would get at the airports...with those claws being potential dangerous weapons? (the sporran does loog great. Excellent workmanship)
