Insanity, well, maybe not.
I got to go to the Kentucky Speedway and take some laps in a race car. Three hours of instruction and 4 minutes on the track! I was not a nascar fan, but this gave me an appreciation for what they do.

Oh awesome! Looks like you had a great time! A friend of my parents did that, and he said that it takes so much concentration and stamina to drive those cars.

That's what made it so much fun, I got to turn loose. 2 mile banked track, running laps in the mid 40 second range! And all perfectly legal. I am still pretty responsible in the truck.

I lived in North C'lina for a while, and as some of you are no doubt aware, NASCAR is about the state religion up there. (Well, that and March Madness). I always wondered just how difficult it was to drive a car really fast... it sounds like you had a great time finding out.
