    Need some help

Ok, I've got lots of pics of me in my kilt on Myspace. so I get a message from a girl that I know really well, and she is a great friend of mine, but she is always trying to tell me that kilts are for girls.

    the comment:
"LAME. kilts are meant for women's lacrosse."

take into account that she is a lacrosse player for our high school.

how should I respond to this?

Give her a book or scholarly article on the history of Highland dress!
That should clear things up for her.

A man in a kilt is a man and a half. Most others will chime in here, the kilt is as manly a garment as it made with a rich and noble history dating thousands of years, far more than the 40 years of history of women wearing trousers. I'll leave room for others' comments.

I didn't see your pictures, so I can't say anything about it, but what you wear on your avatar looks a bit like a skirt to me.

It really is way too long imho.

Not a problem; that was. that was my first kilt. and it is a low quality costume.

here are the pics that I have on myspace:

Ok, with these pics, yes I know that my jacket it not right, yes I know that my sporran looks like poop. yes I know I don't have the right hose, and yes I know I am not in the correct shoes.

now, from there, what all can you say?

Casey, there are a lot of directions you can take that. Probably most of them are bad.

Is she just saying this to tease you, because she knows it'll get under your skin? I suspect this may be the case. If so, the proper response may be to tease her right back. Since she already knows that a kilt is a male-only garment...

"I think Kristen Elizabeth Kjellman is the hottest thing on turf, but I still don't understand why the sport requires her to be a cross-dresser!!!!"

If you think this lady is hot & want to compliment her at the same time, just substitute "you" for KK. Or if you think she's especially hot in a mini-kilt

"I think you're the hottest thing on turf, even cross-dressing in that silly mini-kilt."

Take this for what it's worth---it's not advice, maybe it's food for thought. I think she's probably doing this because she likes you, and because it works. So another alternative is to stop reacting.

Once a young lady of my acquaintance complained that my brother was always picking on her. They were both in high school at the time. I said that I thought it was because he liked her. Upon investigation, she found out that was true! They were sweethearts for quite a while, and are still friends.

She may be teasing. You would know better than we would.

Poke back and tell her Lacrosse is a mans sport.

    Casey,
I have a Brown SWK sporran you can have I don't know where the chain is but it has a strap that fits my 40-42. You can always dye the leather if you want a black sporran.
It was my first sporran and I never wear it so if you would like to addopt it you can have it for free the postage is $5.05, PM Me.

And as far as addvice for the female goes, I'm married sooooooooo Ask her why she wears men's Pants?????

Tell her she's got her sports mixed up...its Field Hockey that the girls wear skirts.

Of course, having never seen lacross, nor cared too, I wouldn't know. If the sport wanders too far away from 4 tires, roll cage, and numbers on doors...I don't usually watch it. (except for Saints games)

    Casey,

Please send her the following message, I think it will do the trick:

Silly Rabbit! Kilts are for Men!

And I think these gentlemen in these pictures would heartily agree:

Of course we kilted gentlemen are delighted to share, we think that Ladies can look good in kilts too

    Sincerely
