Is this too much?
I think it looks kind of sharp, but is this too much blue? Not showing are the kilt hose, which are charcoal to match the jacket, and modern blue flashes to match the tie.

Very nice, I love the jacket. It's definately not too much blue, you hardly have any showing in your top half because of the waistcoat.

Andrew,
Personally, I think the combination of blue and charcoal works very well indeed, and I congratulate you on a presenting us with this superb example. Too much blue? Certainly not.
Your choice of charcoal hose is spot on too. I have always advocated matching the colour of hose with that of the 'top' when possible - and that does not necessarily mean the shirt. Blue hose would work here, but would not be nearly as effective ......... and a lot would depend upon the actual shade of blue!

Yeah, I'm with Hamish. If you had blue hose, it may have been too much, but with charcoal hose, I think it's perfect! Also, blue flashes to set off the kilt was a great choice.

I would tend to agree that if you were to go with the blue hose it would be too much, as presented with charcoal it would look very sharp, you have inspired some more colour possibilities in me. Of course the blue shirt and tie would to my mind only work in certain situations, for example I do not think I would wear the outfit to a wedding, other than that type of context it looks great.

Blue is one of my favorite colors, but regardless that combo looks great to me!
