Won't Get to be Kilted

Looks like I won't be able to have a kilted day on my upcoming trip to New Mexico. The trip will be too short and hurried, and it is a choice between packing gifts or a kilt. I won't have time to wait for checked bags, so that is out. The trip is about my sister's graduation from nursing school and not my kilt. I haven't seen her in eight years.
Thanks everybody for your input on whether to use the bunny sporran or the leather sporran. Guess the pictures will have to do for the rest of the family.

That's tempting, I'm not quite ready for the kilted airport event just yet.

I will be going back out there several times next year, so i will have chances to fly kilted. In fact, she's getting married next year, and I will plan on being kilted at her wedding. I'll use this trip to watch what I have to go through at the airport and think about how it would go being kilted. Kind of just thankful I get to see my sister again, so I'm not going to worry too much about it.

Perhaps some of our vendors address and offer as an option a flying friendly (read security freindly) kilt. I know Steve at FK built Dreadbelly a casual with no metal.
