Offline for a wee bit, and an apology
Hello and holiday greetings to everyone on X-Marks!
I must apologise for not responding to peoples posts as well as to threads that I myself have started.
Things are just a wee bit hectic around the house as moving day creeps closer. We're now only two weeks away from the big move, and I have to make a couple of cross-country trips to the new place before the final move happens. The first trip happens in less than an hour from now as I make the 1200 km drive out today then a 1200 km (700-ish mile) drive home on Saturday. Woohoo!! However, tomorrow is the day when we take possession of the new house, so it will be a memorable, although bifurcated, trip.
We've also been dealing with a small health crisis involving my wife's parents, which has kept us quite busy. Things are improving somewhat, but major changes are happening that has added to the stress on everyone. Putting one's mother in a nursing home is never fun for anyone involved.
So, just a note to say that I'll be away from the 'puter till sometime late Saturday. I hope that everyone has a nice weekend!

Ouch! Good luck with all that Al. Just keep in mind that once you get through all the chaos you can relax for a bit.

Hey, it happens to all of us. Hope all goes well and is going well. Having to make those kind of choices is never easy, especially around this time of year.

Have a safe trip. I hope the highways are clear and you have good driving weather. We Canadians know how poor the driving conditions can be if the weather turns bad.
And here's hoping the family medical issues get resolved satisfactorily.

I guess you're on the road as I write this, Al, but I wish you a safe trip and return, and good luck on the closing and move. Also good wishes for the parents' health.

Have a safe trip; just wondering why it needs to be a bifurcated trip
