Funny comment by my mom
Put on my new SportKilt after i got home from work. I had several errands to run and figured it would be a good opportunity to see how the kilt did. I stopped by my parents to drop something off and my mom glances up from her computer where she plays pogo games like a crack addict, looks at me and remarks " Soooo, your gonna be Scot dude full time now?" I laughed and said " Well one never knows".
She just looked me over and said " Well son, guess you better buy a better Kilt then, wanna borrow some money?"
Heheheehe. Me Own Mum!! Really time for that Kathy Lare tank.

I love my SportKilt, and am glad that I bought it, because it was my gateway kilt. But, I have to say, you get what you pay for, and there's just very little real comparison between that SK and a hand-sewn tank. If you have the money for that Kathy Lare, go for it!

I'm actually quite happy with the sportkilt. I just didnt think my mom knew the difference between a cheap and a expensive and/or well made one. lol. And i will have the money for that Kathy kilt in just a few days, maybe even as early as friday! Woohoo! Gonna go with a 16 ounce strome from Lochcarron in the Mackenzie ancient...well maybe weathered..ahhhh cant decide! I kinda like the hunting green also..lol. Wonder if i should just flip a coin? Sigh..is this how it starts?

Lyrd,
Yes, this is how it starts. Hmmm, let's try an inexpensive kilt to see if I like it....
I am now up to 7 kilts in less than a year. Though I have to admit I am sticking to a bit of a budget, my 7 are about evenly split between Stillwater Kilts and The Frugal Corner.
Someday, if I'm very good, save some money, and lose a bunch of weight, I'll get that Tank, that I can only dream about now.
Any way, welcome to the addiction

Ya i know what ya mean. I already have my next 2...err..3..maybe 4, kinda like the IOS..err anyway...i would love to have a stillwater heavy in the shadow black, but with the 24" length it would have to be hemmed. Would it still look good taking almost 4 inches off it? I'm just a wee short kinda man being 5'6 and all.

We are all the same height. When we stand up, our feet hit the floor. Wear the kilt with pride and it makes you a giant among men.
