Gordon heavys sale
WPG still have the heavey (22oz) Gordon kilts for $195! That's a steel if you can use one, maybe for next winter. (They're a little warm in the summer!)
I swear by mine as do others.

I seem to be having that same problem.
Wife said no more kilts for at least a month.

Is it also too warm to wear in the spring and autumn in Atlanta, say at the Stone Mountain games? I remember you wore yours to our SEKS night on North Avenue, but that was an unseasonably cool and windy night.
I have been thinking of getting one, but with that weight of wool, don't know how much use I would get out of it here.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is "WPG"?

What Price Glory. Check out the Scottish list under British Militaria.
Gil, I don't think a 22-oz kilt would be too much even for the cool evenings we've had this month. It would be a bit scratchier than your typical kilting material, though.

I love mine for the winter's up here it's perfect. Here is my review. However it is hanging in the closet now until next year, it's far to warm to wear until late fall-winter.

Is the excess pleating thickness in the rear waist area trimmed out on these? (not sure what that process is actually called )

Is that a common feature on heavy weight (over 18oz.) tartan kilts? What does it entail?
