Cricket
so I play on a cricket team with some friends at school. its not like hard core real cricket just for fun with a tennis ball but its the same idea.
heres some pics I found while surfing facebook:

enjoy!
cricket kilted is quite fun especially when the 2 batters are the only 2 kilted and it takes 3 or so overs to get them out.

The best explanation of cricket that I heard was the story of the African Chief's son who went to Oxford University. On returning his father asked what was the most important thing that he learned. His reply? "The English have the most effective rain dance ever seen. It starts with eleven men dressed in white standing around in a field with two sets of three sticks in the ground with small twigs across the top. Then two men, also dressed in white come out with willow clubs. One of the men stands in front of one set of three sticks. One of the eleven men hurls a red ball at the man in front of the sticks. He strikes it with his willow club, it goes in the air and one of the men in the field catches the ball. He jumps up and cries out HOWZAT!!!..... and the other ten men also jump and raise their arms to the sky, and the rain comes down."

My only trip to london was a connection flight to kenya and then back to the US. on the return trip it was delayed (at hethrow) for 3 hours while we sat on the plane on the runway. why? because of the rain. London kinda sucked... hehe.

It's Cricket
I used to play fast pitch softball and we had an English chap on the team. He couldn't hit that well except if you threw a pitch in the dirt that bounced up to the plate. He could certainly wack it then. He grew up on cricket.

Nice pictures. I can see it now an all white kilt, white sleeveless sweater, now that would be sporting.
I played cricket once in the Sinai, never understood the game either, but I did manage to his a few of the wickets and score. The cricket bat is interesting too.
