No Pants Fest
Here's the only pic I got of the kilted krew from No Pants Fest a couple of weeks ago. Please excuse our sloppy appearace, we had all been drinking rather heavily.

From left to right: Me, in my new SWK heavyweight Black Watch, Josh (my brother's friend) in a Tripp "kilt" from Hot Topic, Nick (my godbrother) in his MacKinnon's/Gold Brothers MacDonald, Dan (my brother's friend) in my MacKinnon's/Gold Brothers Scottish National, Evan (my brother) in his SWK Economy Black Watch, and Tim (who has been a friend of ours since we were in Junior High) in my cheap acrylic Black Watch.
You can probably tell from the picture that I am the most seasoned kilt wearer of the bunch... It doesn't really matter. No one knew the difference. We all had a great time, and other than a few girls in skirts, the kilted krew were the only people at No Pants Fest in unbifurcated garments!

Very nice! looks like a lot of fun.
Now to show them this site so they can get their own kilts and fix the DONTs

A fairly decent rabble, I must say.
I'm going to have to remember that "please excuse our appearance because we've been drinking heavily" line though...could come in handy someday.
Best

It sure is. It's their "Meanest of Times" shirt. If you ask me, "Meanest" is their best album in a looong time.

Meanest is OK, I'm still a big fan of the old albums, Sing Loud, Do or Die, and Blackout are my favorites, and Warriors Code was amazing too. Meanest just didn't have the same fun that the other albums do.

Great Picture! My kinda rabble! Gonna see the Murphs in a couple of days, and I agree, sing loud, do or die are still the better albums.

DKM just hasn't been the same since Mike McColgan left. "Do or Die" is by far my favorite album of theirs, and quite possibly my favorite album, period. I think "Meanest" is probably their best album since Mike left.
A couple of people at No Pants fest asked where we got the kilts, and I referred them here and to Stillwater. Hopefully a couple of them will follow through.

I'm thinking of my Irish Saffron SWK for the show next week, paired with my lineman's boots. I agree, my man. I miss Mike, still, should be a fun show. At least I wont be the only kiltie.
