Hi All!
Hi!
I am new to the whole kilt thing and looking for any and all advice. My son, 18, is wanting his first kilt! Ok, I'm fine with it and even looked for some. I am wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get a good, inexpensive, easy care kilt. A starter kilt.
Thanks for all your help!

Welcome aboard!
If you have a sewing machine and the inclination, and your kid wants a modern style kilt (denim or camo, cargo pockets) vs. a tartan plaid fabric, check the DIY thread -- at the top is a thread about the X-Kilt, a "make it in a weekend for less than $50" starter kilt that many members here have sewn up with great success.
You can do a search on XKilt or X-Kilt to see the results and stories of how guys who never touched a sewing machine before have made their own kilts -- could be a great project for you and your son to cooperate on!

Ditto what our esteemed Beedee has said. Stillwater is excellent for off the rack and USA kilts for both off the rack (Casual) and for a custom made fit.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
