    Just so you know...

Yeti and I are still around, although neither of us are online much anymore, he just started an internship at a camp in Ohio and I'm nearly done with Archaeological Field School this summer, after which I will be moving home where there is only dial-up. It has been going well but I tend to come home covered in mud and dead tired every night.

The best way to contact me is to email me, I will make sure my profile has a good email address in hand.

Yeti could probably use some care packages at camp also, so contact me if you want the address.

Good to hear from you String all the best with Archaeological Field School, sounds interesting, and all the best to Yeti as well.

I am safely home from camp, and have packed up my mom and sent her to Iowa. She is taking care of a family friend's mom who had surgery. For the next 6 weeks I'll be doing her job, taking over all the stuff she does at home and her church custodial duties. Can we say busy?

Yeti is doing ok at camp, busy and its difficult to keep communication up with signal issues and the fact my cell phone decided to die on me.

Have to admit that you two are among the people that we don't hear from as often as we like and that I sometimes think about and hope that all is going well.

When you're done with that...come up to Chicago. We're starting a dig in the upscale urban area on the Near North Side at a point where the Potter Palmers used to live. Univ of Chicago prof will be in charge and there's lots of great 19th Century crap surfacing.

Find any interesting artifacts on your dig? What time period were you investigating there?

It looks a little... moist. But then again, I think you did mention in another thread coming home covered in mud.

The site is a Ft Ancient Native American site (900-1400 AD) and we churned up lotsa pottery sherds, flint chips (ow) and other fun things.

I took that picture after we bailed the water out of the square. Such a joy. I wish I could go play at that site, i need the experience.

I've been working pretty much day and night shift for the last week, as the lady I take care of has been ill. her sister is now considering a nursing home.

Also Yeti and I are no longer a couple... Its been a fun week. I'm not disappearing from this board, but I may be commenting less. I don't know really.
