Name for a 5 yard kilt
Hey Y'all-
My business partner and I were discussing options for our new highland attire store, and when it came to discussing 5 yard kilts, we began referencing them as "lilters", as in they are less than a 8 yard tank (I absolutely love that term), but still have some lilt to them. One of the definitions of "lilt" is-
"To move with lightness and buoyancy".
So,if this term hasn't been coined,I , Josh Brown, officially submit "lilter" as a term for a 5 yard kilt. Please disregard if someone else has already suggested it.

I like it. What about 4 yard kilts? Maybe a gallon?

A lilter,...hmm. It does roll off the tongue with ease. Yeah, works for me.

Aren't most 5 yard kilts referred to as 'casual' by many vendors?

Or hill walkers by some others.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I have seen this phrase used by several kiltmakers and it sounds rather jaunty

Alexis Malcolm is already using the name Hill Walker for their 5 yard kilts kilts. Great kilts, I have two of them.

My first thought was "Bob", since ya'll from Georgia what about "Billy Bob"?
Course since it is football season and it's a five yarder what about "The Fullback" a four yarder could be "the Halfback", and a really light casual (sport) could be "the Tailback"
