Standard New Guy.
Hey folks,
Standard new guy post. I'm a member of the US Army, currently deployed. Wear a kilt here in the sandbox and I've been wearing them for more than a decade now. Mainly wear the Utilikilts these days just for their ease-of-wear, but I'm looking to branch back out into the realm of the Tartan.
Which brings me for my main reason for registering here. I'm planning on buying a formal traditional wool kilt in the US Army tartan. The challenge is that I'd like to wear this with part of my dress uniform to go out to big fancy dinners and what-not but I'm not sure what regulations are going to say about it. I do know that you generally can't mix military and civilian cloths, but I can't say for sure about this topic. I'm hoping to stumble on some old soldiers here that can point me in the right direction, even if that direction is "back". Cheers, looking forward to many good times.
