Pixar in Loud Macleod
We just had a lovely day, getting a bit of an inside look at the Pixar Animation Studios, thanks to walkerk and Madalyn.
The Pixar campus looks like a wonderful place to work (and play!), and we very much enjoyed our visit.
Here, we arrived and posed with the ball and lamp from Pixar's first (and most famous) short film.

The boys in the family are a bit like the dogs in "Up!"...

...easily distracted...
"Squirrel!!"

Right inside the front door, Jamie meets with Mike and Sully.
"What's that you say, Sully? Mike is checking out my...
pleats?"

Bring in the whole family! "Hey there little girl, what's wrong, why do you look so uncertain? I may be a green, one-eyed monster, but I'm really very nice!"

The highlight of the day for Wee Xena was getting a chance to draw her own Pixar character. She'd already chosen her subject in the store...Dug, the overly friendly dog from "Up!" Madalyn looks on as the children create.

We ended our photo shoot with a visit to the Incredible family.
Amazing how well we coordinate...

Strike that pose!

I think this was the last time we can wear the Loud Macleod as a family for a little while. Sinbad isn't so little anymore and he seems to have outgrown his kilt!
Don't worry, though, we'll get him another soon.
Thank you so much for a really fun outing, Kent and Madalyn. We had a blast!
Be well,
Star

What a great set of photos, Star. Thank you for sharing them. I love the Pixar films (not that I have seen that many!)
Take care,
Ham.
[PS: I do hope Jamie does not develop a passion for red tights after that photo shoot! We've had enough problems in the past with Graham and his green ones!!]

We had a great time with Jamie, Star, and the family. The annual event is a fund raiser for the Cartoon Art Museum and Michael Johnson (on the Board of the CAM) is the hard-working organizer as well as head of R&D at Pixar, so wearing the Johnston tartan seemed appropriate.

A view of the vast lobby before the crowds showed up.

The campus is so large that there are scooters for the employees to get around on. Of course some guests just had to try them out.

Jamie and Madalyn on the crossover.

Many original works were up for auction. Luckily, one is going home with me.

What a great way to spend the day.
Star, do you have a license to fly that scooter?

Thanks for sharing your day.
